¿?Who is DeemiiThaArtist¿?

The Next Big Hit-maker

DeemiiThaArtist was born in Jamaica, But raised in the In the mecca of hip-hop (Bronx of NY).  Becoming heavily  influenced by the culture his curiosity set in, but it wasn’t until  the passing of  his mother in the early 2000’s  that he began taking his craft seriously .
TU had an opportunity to chat with the upcoming artist/producer engineer  extraordinaire  a young mogul in the making most would say! He touched on some humble beginnings and let us take a sneak peak into his world. Its early about 4am and I’m Up hastily preparing for my first blog post and interviews for Th3Underground  in almost 5 years I shoot  deemi  an inbox  to remind him about our Upcoming chat. Once I got a response and knew he was up  A  Pot of  hot water was  up for some tea and after a Few minutes of playing catch up and  both of us trying stay awake I rolled a L and dived right in since I no longer live in NYC  We had to tweek some things so after a series of voice notes and inboxing back and forth we were able to  pull this off…
TU: Growing up here (state side) did you  feel like  your experiences and environment affected your  music?
Deemii:  I was very young then. As years went by and I aged, I'd gotten into music more. I Became better at it. I felt as though I’m was a determined individual destined  for greatness and endless possibilities.  Fast forward now I am an artist/music producer/engineer. Coming from where i come from my environment was my influence and I used that in the most positive way I knew how my outlet was music. These Experiences shaped me and my sound .

It’s Amazing that you say that! As of  late there has been in my opinion a saturation of  Like sounds and similarity in music.
Tu:  what or who are some of your influences?
Deemii: Of course myself. I try to not hear other people's music in order to create my own custom style. Now and days, it's hard to come with something original. On my spare time I do listen to a few rappers/artists like, lil Wayne, 50 cent, pop smoke, Chris brown, Miley Cyrus...and the list goes on Mentally  I challenge few artists I listen to when it comes to writing and recording.
You just dropped your single “ Call my phone”  Which is available on all major platforms  it definitely has it factor written all over it’s a summer vibe but it does have a cross over  flare to it….
Tu: Would you say your sound is more commercial ?

Deemii: my style of sound is cartoony/soft/commercial. Things you can relate to and not just to say. As a song writer, it's very important on the way you word things and how you can relate to your own music and for others as well.
Now you and I have some history we’ve Know each other for years facts of the matter when I first started Th3Underground I remember you  were in a group and you were doing editing photography etc.  And I told you my plans about wanting  to do ciphers and Interview and blog coverage  blazĂ© blazĂ© and I needed an editor you actually  were the go to man for us on  Th3Underground That was about 9 years ago so our history  goes back Some time you were with an emerging music group N.D.D. I can remember all the late night stu vibes most importantly the music set the tone for the parties we were having!

TU: how is that for you now What has N.D.D. Grown into?
Deemii: N.D.D ENTERTAINMENT (NEVER DOUBT DREAMS). My manager by the name of YRNDD is behind the brand. I'm the right hand muscle . The meaning of the brand is to prove the negatives wrong. Let dreams become reality. Help each other make our dreams  real our goals as a GROUP and INDIVIDUALLY in music and any other lane we decide to drive in.
My end goal as a team player and individual is to create MASSIVE confidence using my music. to touch a lot of hearts with the energy I bring to the table. I'm here to accomplish what has been lost in music...... GENUINE Feel good Music. .

TU: Is your music intended  for everyone or who do you make music for what kind of individual do you expect to listen to your music?

Deemii:  I produce for myself daily. I also produce beats for underground artists/rappers/singers as well ! I’ve Been blessed to do what I love so I work with artist and different indie labels/ and management Teams at an affordable rate … Fan wise  I make music for those who need strength, Confidence and  love.
If we all were able to sit down and sift through the social b.s. we would see that  none of  us are  truly different we often times go through the same things it’s Why you do with what you have that counts  I want the music industry to remember me as the "Original" that was lost. The man with the ears that can catch every single layer of sound to make sure it is right!. Now that's music.
